Are the Vic's bias?

On Monday WA premier Mark Mcgowan lifted the COVID-19 ban of training in pairs to training in groups of 10. Because WA had not recorded a new coronavirus case in days. Which means this allowed the Eagles and Dockers to start training again, just in case the AFL season proceeds as normal. The WA government followed suit set by the South Australian government who had also lifted the ban of training in 2's to training in groups of 10. This allowed Adelaide and Port Adelaide to start training again as the state has only recorded 438 cases of COVID-19. Then on Tuesday an announcement came from AFL banning all Western Australian and South Australia clubs from training in groups of 10. This is due to some Victoria teams complaining about the fact they still have to train in pairs because of the number of COVID-19 cases the state has which is the second most in Australia behind New South Wales. The Victoria teams believe that the interstate teams will have a significant advantage over there Victorian counterparts because the interstate teams get to train in small groups, which will cause the interstate teams to become better and take more Premierships out of Victoria. Later in the week retired Port Adelaide player, Kane Cornes hit back at the claims made by the AFL to ban the interstate teams from training in groups of 10 with a radio interview on SEN. Cornes described the AFL ruling as a “Joke”, He also said that the Victorian clubs had “no idea” what it's like being an interstate club. “God forbid WA clubs have an unfair advantage. These guys that travel four hours on a plane every second week while Jack Riewoldt sleeps in his bed for 14 weeks of the season playing games at the MCG.” He also went on to say “Its not easy jumping on a plane every second week. They’ve got no idea the advantages that they can get.” In his conclusion he goes on to say, “This is an absolute joke- it just underlines how VFL- centric the AFL still are."
